Movago drivers can publish scheduled trips or accept nearby ride and delivery requests. These are separate workflows with different requirements. This article explains how do i start a trip i posted, including the main workflow, relevant conditions, and what to expect in the app.
All of these have to be true:
- The trip is Published, or it is Delayed and the extra time has not run out.
- At least one passenger is confirmed.
- If it is still Published, you are within 30 minutes of departure, or departure has already passed.
- You swipe to open passenger check-in.
- Every passenger on the trip is verified. The button stays on “Waiting for verification” until the count matches. The screen says everyone must be verified to start.
- Then you choose Start Trip.
The app should show “Trip Started” and the trip as in progress.
If there is no confirmed passenger, the app says you need at least one confirmed passenger. If you are more than 30 minutes early, it says you can start within 30 minutes of departure. If a delay extension has already expired, it tells you to use the missed-start prompt if it is still available. Unverified passengers block the start button.
A published scheduled trip is different from a driver assignment accepted through nearby requests. The actions and status checks are not interchangeable. Changes become visible when the corresponding action succeeds; an unavailable button, incomplete setup, or pending payment means the next stage has not yet been reached. Always rely on the status displayed for the particular item rather than assuming it has progressed.
Review the eligibility requirements and status described above. Missing required information, an earlier incomplete step, or an account-level limitation may prevent the action. Where the application displays a specific reason or a required next step, that message is the best guide to resolving the issue. For payments or decisions requiring review, use the relevant in-app support channel rather than assuming an automatic reversal or approval.
