Movago drivers can publish scheduled trips or accept nearby ride and delivery requests. These are separate workflows with different requirements. This article explains what if i miss the departure, including the main workflow, relevant conditions, and what to expect in the app.
If the trip is waiting on you, the app shows only the replies it still allows:
- Iโm on the way โ extra time to reach pickup
- Car issue โ the vehicle needs more time
- Emergency โ you need more time
- Cancel trip โ cancel and notify every rider
The app should show the trip delayed until the new time, or cancelled if you chose cancel. The screen shows the deadline and how many delays are left.
If the reply window is closed, the trip already started, or missed start does not apply, those replies are not offered. You cannot delay more times than the app allows. When a delay window has expired, start stays blocked until you answer the missed-start prompt, if it is still open.
A published scheduled trip is different from a driver assignment accepted through nearby requests. The actions and status checks are not interchangeable. Changes become visible when the corresponding action succeeds; an unavailable button, incomplete setup, or pending payment means the next stage has not yet been reached. Always rely on the status displayed for the particular item rather than assuming it has progressed.
Review the eligibility requirements and status described above. Missing required information, an earlier incomplete step, or an account-level limitation may prevent the action. Where the application displays a specific reason or a required next step, that message is the best guide to resolving the issue. For payments or decisions requiring review, use the relevant in-app support channel rather than assuming an automatic reversal or approval.
